You place your personal maximum bid. This is the price your are willing to pay at most for this object. Nobody can see your maximum bid, neither the other bidders, nor the seller! Your maximum bid will automatically be compared to the other bidders bids.
The purchasing price is calculated by adding 1 bid step to the second best bid. You will only have to pay your maximum bid, if another bidder bids the same amount at a later time.
As soon as you have placed a bid above the start price, and you are the best bidder at the end of the acution, you are obligated to purchase the object.
If another bidder overbids you, you will be informed by email. To regain a chance to purchase the object you must place a higher bid.
Example:
The starting price of the object is € 5.000. The bid step is € 100.
A bidder (A) places a maximum bid of € 6.000. The seller will not see the bid amount. The current price remains € 5.000.
If a bidder (B) places a maximum bid of € 7.000, the current price will rise to € 6.100 (the second best bid € 6.000 + 1 bid step € 100).
Bidder A will receive an email notifying him, that he no longer is the best bidder and that the current price is € 6.100. The seller will still not see the new maximum bid of € 7.000.
If bidder B remains the best bidder until the end of the acution, he will purchase the object for € 6.100.

Some auctions my be offer with the option „Buy it now". If you are willing to pay this Buy it now amount for the object, you can click on the button "Buy it now". Don't enter the amount in the bid field.
The Buy it now option disappears as soon as a bidder places a bid above the start price.
4.3. Open Offer
You can place your personal bid.
Only the seller will see your bid. The other users have no information about other bidders, or how high their bids are.
The seller has the possibility to accept or decline your bid at any time. You will be informed about his decision by email.
Example:
The seller offers an object for € 8.500.
Bidder A places a bid of € 8.810 for this object.
Bidder B places a bid of € 8.800 for the same object.
The seller can decide which bid he wants to accept/decline.
4.4. Bid step
The defined bid step must be respected.
If an object has a starting price of € 5.000,- and a bid step of € 100,- the next possible bid is € 5.100,-. A bid of € 5.090,- or € 5.105,- is not possible.
